On the road again…

So… Three great gigs in seven days. Wolverhampton was cool as hell. Tin Omen and Cedigest were really good and friendly people too. It’s also the first time we’ve had an OFFICIAL dressing room complete with those light bulbs around a mirror (which didn’t switch on but i’m not letting that unravel my happy little world) and a fridge that didn’t work. Truly we are on the road to rock stardom. I think we scared the punters a bit being the only band with a drummer and all but it was still fun.

Round 2 of BOTB at Cert was a good laugh. And I got to play a melodica. I thoroughly recommend this instrument to anyone with secret aspirations to become a pirate musician. We went through on audience votes and i bruised the fuck out of my knees at the end of our set during a dramatic, heartfelt and above all fucking stupid ‘fall to your knees’ maneuver. On this day I learned something - knee abuse is a very real problem so from this day forward I will tenderly kiss my knees every day.

Last night we were in Wakefield at the Snooty Fox which is a great little venue. They don’t charge to get in so there was actually quite a turn out (especially considering it was 3 out of town bands on the bill). Reism and Electroglide were both awesome. I did feel slightly out of place in the lineup sandwiched between (*ahem*) two pretty young ladies, each fronting awesome bands and possessing stunning singing voices. Being something of a failed experiment in testosterone synthesis with a voice like a clogged drain I suspect the punters weren’t quite as hypnotised by my inhuman warbling. Anyway, next time we play there I’m wearing a fucking tutu. The gig was filmed so expect a new live video or two to turn up very soon.

Right, I’m off to slug bleach to prepare for our next bout of gigs.
